Open Source & Compliances
OSI Compliance
Our apps for the Openterface devices are licensed under the AGPL-3.0, an Open Source Initiative® approved license. The OSI logo® is the trademark of the Open Source Initiative, and we proudly comply with the Open Source Definition.
Our applications are actively developed and maintained by TechxArtisan as we go. If you're interested in contributing and want to be part of an innovative development team, join our Discord community or email us now!
OSHWA Compliance
Our Openterface devices, such as Openterface Mini-KVM, are proudly certified by the Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA). This OSHWA certification (UID CN000015) confirms our commitment to the principles of open hardware, ensuring that all design files, documentation, and source code are freely available for study, modification, distribution, and manufacture. To explore the device's schematics and components or even build it by yourself from scratch, check out our hardware GitHub repo: Openterface_Mini-KVM_Hardware.
Additional Compliances
Our Openterface devices are also compliant with CE, UKCA, WEEE and RoHS standards. This ensures they meet all relevant safety, health, and environmental requirements for distribution and use.
Open Hardware Need YOU!!!
Developing truly open-source hardware and software isn't easy — but with your support, we can keep pushing the boundaries.
If you love what we're building and want to see more of it in the world, here's how you can help:
- Buy our hardware: The most direct way to support us is to purchase an Openterface device. Every sale helps us keep innovating.
- Grab some gear: Show your support in style with our Openterface T-shirts and hoodies, available now in the TxA shop.
- Join the mission: Head over to our contributing guide to become part of our dev crew. Coders, makers, documenters — all are welcome!
- Spread the word: Share Openterface with your friends, your tech team, or your community. Let others know there is an open alternative.
- Give feedback: We love hearing what works, what doesn’t, and what you want to see next.
Together, we can make open-source the standard — not the exception.
Thanks for being part of the journey. We couldn’t do it without you.
